To say Bob loves the sea, though, is an understatement of the century. "When I´m on the water, I´m in my element. I love the smell of the salty air, the rocking of the waves and the cry of the seagulls. I even feel like I have salt water coursing through my veins."

A Genuine Enthusiasm

Today, his love for the sea is just as strong. In fact, as an active community volunteer, he often spends his spare time as an Officer in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, teaching boating safety courses to the public, inspecting vessels, patrolling the local waters to assist boaters in distress. His Coast Guard designations include specialist in weather, navigation, seamanship and past Commander of a Flotilla.

"It´s the perfect place for me to enjoy the ocean and sample some of the cultural events and fine dining.  After vacationing here he decided a career change was in order and the rest is history.
